Our FLFA plate condensers are ideal for special applications where conventional plate heat exchangers cannot handle. The product is designed to accommodate a large flow of steam, which provides a large inlet for the steam stream. Together with a short residence time, the right condensation conditions are created – even in low pressure steam conditions.
With our custom-built, semi-welded, welded FLFA condenser solution, applications that require perfect condensation conditions can be easily managed. For low pressure steam conditions, our dedicated condenser plate design accommodates a large vapor volume while maintaining the thermal performance of the plate.
What does this mean for you?
Similar to our evaporator and semi-welded plate heat exchangers, the condenser uses a plate box. However, these boxes are designed in an asymmetrical mode for improved condensation and efficiency.
Therefore, the pressure drop on the weld surface can be kept to a minimum while maintaining a high level of turbulence on the side of the refill. This design maximizes the heat transfer coefficient, optimizes your performance, reduces the load on your pump, and reduces the energy consumption of your entire system.
Volume difference operation
Our unique multi-gap panels are specifically designed for condensing duties and there is a big difference between the two. With this solution, you can run a large amount of steam on the sides of the weld and on a small liquid volume so that the pressure drop can be effectively utilized.
